Mr. Jayprakash B Joshi laid foundation of JOTO Abrasives in 1993 at Nasik.
He belongs to small village Siddh Pimpari of Nasik District. Being his father a priest he never chooses this profession for his livelihood. He came to Nasik in 1970 and stated working in MICO Company AD Wheels. Later on he started working in currency note press for next ten years. But his dream of becoming self-reliant person never let him sleep. He was getting respected salary but was not happy working there.
In 1993 he resigned from the current job and laid foundation of JOTO Abrasives on rented plot of 200 sq ft in Ambad, Nasik. Company took task of making grinding wheels. He also stared his research work on his product for next 5 years till 1998. He was inspired by foreign products of same line and thought to provide same quality products to his customers. He went to Germany to learn such technology that can produce quality product with low cost. His quest for learning and research fetches him good response from consumers. With the quality assurance of product he got first international assignment from
S.K.F. Bearings Ltd. China. And since then he never looked back and exporting his products to Korea, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Indonesia, Singapore, Brazil and Argentina.
Mr.Joshi has expanded his wings of business and manufacturing units at Satpur in 2010 and today his company has become a company with 100 cr.p.a. With of 25 years old establishment, his son Mr. Manoj Joshi expanding JOTO group of industries at new height. Mr.Josi is inspiration for young entrepreneurs. His strong willpower, honesty, consistency, persistence and problem-solving technique motivate new entrepreneurs.
He receives an honour from Maharashtra Government as District Business Award in 1999.
G.D.K. memorial Trust award him State Level Outstanding Performance in 2000. Later on in 2001 NIMA honored him with Business Excellence Award. In 2012 he was awarded at the hands of nuclear scientist Dr. Anil Kakodkar as State Level S.D. Taskar Award.
